WHAT ARE VISION DISORDERS?
Every eye is different. The most common vision problems are:
Myopia (Blurred Distance Vision): Texts, signs, and objects at a distance are not seen clearly. Near vision is usually clear. If distance vision is blurry, you are most likely myopic.
Hyperopia (Blurred Near Vision): Reading at close range becomes difficult. Eyes tire quickly. If you try to read your phone or book by moving it farther away, you may be hyperopic.
Astigmatism (Distorted / Shadowed Vision): Both near and distance images are not sharp. Lights scatter and may appear doubled. If driving at night is especially difficult, you may have astigmatism.
Presbyopia (Age-Related Near Vision Problem): It usually appears after age 40. Reading up close becomes harder. If you have started reading with your arm extended, this is a natural process.
